Ate the best herring of my life. The hosts in this 'old island house' are fantastic, authentic, infinitely friendly ..... that brings tears to my eyes. As I said: stay as you have been! It's rare. Thank you for letting me be with you !!

Quite cozy furnishings, the menu used to be of a higher quality, the quality has declined. Owner is busy trying to talk to new guests with "aphorisms". As a result, his Corona paper insert mask is always "dripping wet" and unappetizing. This is extremely annoying and repulsive. That is why we avoided the restaurant on the following vacation in September. So little recommended!

Very quaint, rustic ambience and matching a Spiekerooger original as host. When reading the menu, it was really difficult to make a choice, but we were not disappointed. The matjes tip with fried potatoes was super delicious. We made another reservation right away and are looking forward to it.

I am reassured now. After initial skepticism about the professional service on the island, I now see more and more experienced professionals. Guests who do not always know how to behave correctly during the Corona period are politely supported in the old island house. No bad vibes break out here unless you bring them with you. Very nice ambience with an extensive menu, highly recommended.

We were welcomed and entertained in the best possible way on 08/24/2020 after a heavy downpour. A huge compliment to the nice host, someone like that is worth gold. This was noticed by my wife, children and me.

Very tasty food. For evenings as good as possible only with a table reservation days in advance. Delicious cakes and pies for lunch. Only cash payments possible

We also call it roasted potato house well seasoned. Very polite, courteous, responsive, crispy fried potatoes, cozy drift house, very romantic backyard, wonderful fig tree whose fruit is served on the salad when they are ripe, highly recommended and table reservation necessary

Just come from the food. Once again very, very good :) Small menu with selected, local food, which have all tasted so far. The whole thing in a quaint ambience with a boss who has entertainer qualities. In the whole package just recommended so do not miss it;)

Very delicious and fresh home cooking (my girlfriend: trout, me: crabs - each with fried potatoes to kneel down) in a rustic atmosphere, also very attentive service. The landlord is a bagpipes in the best sense of the word, prudent, humorous, with exciting stories. The prices are reasonable. We have five stars for the island house - and an explicit recommendation.
